However, by coming together and working as a united front, we can ultimately eliminate these issues completely. Over the years, Nigeria has been plagued by insurgency and terrorism, with various groups causing havoc and destabilizing the country. In my articles on this subject, I have stressed the importance of looking beyond the insurgents and terrorists themselves and focusing on the larger factors at play. Specifically, I have highlighted the role of foreign hands, domestic sponsors, hostile neighbors, and both internal and external causes in fueling the unrest in Nigeria.
Foreign hands play a significant role in fueling insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria. There have been incidents where foreign countries have been accused of supporting and arming these extremist groups. This support allows the insurgents to carry out their attacks with greater ease and effectiveness. It is crucial for the Nigerian government to address this issue by holding these foreign entities accountable and putting pressure on them to stop their support for terrorism.
Domestic sponsors are another key factor that must be addressed in the fight against insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria. These sponsors provide funding, resources, and safe havens for the insurgents, allowing them to continue their activities unchecked. By targeting these sponsors, the government can disrupt the flow of support to the terrorists and weaken their ability to carry out attacks.
