AATSG Congratulates new Speaker of Ogun state house of assembly – Abayomi Odunowo.
On behalf of the members of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group (AATSG) in Ogun state and across Nigeria, we are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hon Oludaise Olusegun Elemide, a dedicated and committed member of our organization, on his appointment as the new Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly. This news came to us as a pleasant surprise, as we had previously spoken out and supported Hon Elemide as the most suitable candidate for the position of Speaker. However, upon the appeal from the leadership of our party, the APC, we reluctantly acquiesced to the installment of the former speaker, Hon Oluomo. It has now become apparent that the decision to appoint Oluomo as the speaker was amiss, prompting the welcome change in leadership.
We express our sincere congratulations to the 18 members of the State Assembly, as well as the opposition party members, who displayed unwavering support for this move. It is commendable that this transition was achieved without any violence or disruption, as is characteristic of the peaceful and democratic nature of the politics in Ogun state. We take pride in the fact that the people of Ogun state have once again demonstrated their commitment to upholding the democratic process and the rule of law, and for that we salute them.
Moving forward, we urge the newly appointed leadership of the Ogun State House of Assembly to prioritize the integrity and dignity of the house. It is imperative that they work in the best interests of the people of Ogun state, to whom they owe their allegiance and duty. The citizens of Ogun state have entrusted them with the responsibility of representing their interests and concerns in the legislative proceedings, and it is vital that they fulfill this duty with honesty and dedication.
The AATSG recognizes the importance of this new leadership in the Ogun State House of Assembly, particularly in steering the affairs of the state in the right direction. Therefore, we urge Hon Oludaise Olusegun Elemide and his fellow lawmakers to be steadfast and resolute in their commitment to promoting good governance, accountability, and transparency. They must remember that the aspirations and well-being of the people should be at the forefront of their agenda, and all decisions made must be in the best interest of the general populace.
As we anticipate the incoming leadership in Ogun state, it is imperative that they continue to fully support the positive developmental plans of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun.
