Abiodun’s Ogun Supreme Court Victory divine, says Otunba Odunowo
An All Progressives Congress ( APC) chieftain and the National Chairman of the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group ( AATSG), Otunba Yomi Odunowo, has described today’s judgement of the Ogun State Governorship Election The highest court in the land that upheld the election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the validly elected Governor of Ogun State as not only divine, but also resounding and well – deserved.
Otunba Odunowo, who made these remarks in Abuja at the Supreme Court immediately after the judgement in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Seyi Shodipo, also congratulated Governor Abiodun, the teeming Ogun APC members and indigenes of the state in general on the much – deserved victory.
He, however, applauded the Supreme Court judges for the judgement as this was an affirmation of the people’s overwhelming votes for Prince Abiodun during the March 11, 2023 governorship polls in the state.
The AATSG National Chairman noted that all the indigenes and inhabitants of the Gateway State had firmly stood in support of the Governor with their unflinching supports for him to continue steering the ship of the state for another four years, assuring that the APC administration in the state would reciprocate the people’s gestures by building on the foundation it had laid during its first four years in government by making the state a model for other states of the federation.
Otunba Odunowo further assured that once the election and court ruling affirming Governor Abiodun’s success in the gubernatorial polls were over, Prince Abiodun would now focus on the completion of all the on – going impactful projects spread across the state’s three senatorial districts
” The Supreme Court judges unanimously affirmed the victory as they agreed with ruling of the tribunal and the appeal court, that the petition filed by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the election of Prince Abiodun lacked merit was a triumph for democracy and this is a welcome development, said Otunba Odunowo
The Ogun State APC chieftain, therefore, appealed to the opposition parties in the state that now that the highest court in the land as spoken to accept the verdict in good fate and join hands with Governor Abiodun in his efforts at taking the state to the next level of sustainable socio – economic and human development

Today is a day of celebration, joy, and affirmation of the will of the people of Ogun State as the Supreme Court upheld the election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the validly elected Governor of the state. This victory is not just resounding, but also well-deserved and divine. I cannot begin to express the elation and gratification that I feel as an APC chieftain and the National Chairman of the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group (AATSG), and I am certain that this sentiment is echoed by all our party members and supporters across the country.
The judgement of the Supreme Court is a clear affirmation of the overwhelming support and votes that the people of Ogun State demonstrated for Prince Abiodun during the governorship polls in March 2023. The unanimous decision of the judges, in agreement with the rulings of the tribunal and the appeal court, is a triumph for democracy and a testament to the confidence that the people have in the leadership of Governor Abiodun.
I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Governor Abiodun, the Ogun APC members, and all the indigenes of the state. Your unwavering support and commitment to Governor Abiodun have been truly commendable, and it is heartening to see that your efforts have been affirmed by the highest court in the land. It is now time for us to look ahead and focus on the future of Ogun State.
As the AATSG National Chairman, I want to assure the people of Ogun State that the APC administration in the state will work tirelessly to build on the foundation that has been laid in the past four years.
